Playing the Course 101

Is your child ready to take their game from the practice range to an actual round of golf? Playing the Course 101 is designed for junior golfers with little to no on-course experience, giving them the foundational skills and confidence to enjoy a real round of golf with friends, family, or on their own! In small groups of 2-4 players, a dedicated First Tee – North Florida coach guides participants through 9 holes, focusing on the essential building blocks of recreational golf: safety, pace of play, course etiquette, and basic rules. After a few classes, your child should know how to conduct themselves on the course with increased respect and confidence. It’s the perfect next step for any young golfer ready to make the leap from lessons to the links!

Intent:

This program is crafted with the clear intention of equipping participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to be a recreational “weekend” golfer. Whether you’re teeing off with friends, family, or on your own, our goal is for you to feel equipped and empowered to navigate the golf course smoothly, safely, and in accordance with established rules/etiquette. With this program, you’ll not only enhance your enjoyment of the game but also foster a deeper appreciation for the sport of golf.
