Rising Leaders Academy
The objective of the Rising Leaders Academy is to develop and educate participants in multiple aspects such as life skill development through engaging golf activities, career exploration, and community service projects. Through the week they will be inspired to consider how they can become leaders in their communities and role models to other participants at First Tee.
When is it?
The Academy takes place from Monday, July 11th through Friday, July 15th. Participants will register for one of two locations (Brentwood Golf Course or Innovator’s Clubhouse at WGV) and depart from their site at 8:00am and return at 6:00pm each day.
Who can participate?
The Academy is open to 2022 Junior Members between the ages of 13 -17 years old.
How much does it cost and what is included?
The cost is $300 per participant and includes everything listed below. As with all programs offered at The First Tee of North Florida, scholarships are available upon request. Half scholarships ($150 credit) and max scholarships ($250 credit) are available.
- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day
- All golf fees including driving range and instructor fees
- All transportation during Academy hours (8:00am – 6:00pm)
- An Academy golf shirt
What does a typical Academy day consist of?
- 8:00am – Departure from registered site
- 8:10am – Breakfast
- 9:15am – Arrive at golf course
- 10:00am – Play golf
- 1:00pm – Lunch
- 2:15pm – Life Skill Activity
- 5:15pm – Return to registered site
What will the Life Skill activities be?
Though the Life Skill schedule has not been finalized, activities may include financial literacy programs, college campus tours, or beach clean up. Chapter board members, community leaders, and local CEO’s have been invited to lead the activities.
