Why Golf?

Experiences are our greatest teacher. First Tee believes in developing the ones that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our personal growth and junior golf programs, we see kids’ build self confidence, inspiring more active participation in leadership opportunities and events, community involvement, and college scholarships.

2022 Junior Membership

An Junior Membership is required to register for classes and tournaments. Members receive great benefits such as free rounds of golf, a First Tee – North Florida polo, discounted summer camp fees, special invitations and more! The membership fee is $65 per participant and covers one calendar year (Jan.-Dec.).

Weekly Classes

Registered participants meet once per week for five weeks with each class typically lasting for 1.5 hours. Participants progress through levels by demonstrating inner strength, character, and the life and golf skills they have learned. All participants regardless of age start at the PLAYer level.

After-School Classes

We offer two types of after-school classes: On-site classes at school properties through school Extended Day Departments; and Off-site classes at area golf locations with one-way transport from designated schools. Our trained team of coaches sets up fun and engaging activities and games, through which students learn basic golf fundamentals along with an introduction to the First Tee Nine Core Values.  All equipment is provided.

The First Tee of North Florida offers various tournaments throughout the year as part of a series. Points are collected from each tournament based on participation and standings. The tournaments are designed for participants to challenge themselves in a competitive environment while showcasing the skills learned in the seasonal classes.

The LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program provides girls, ages 5-18, with the opportunity to learn golf, create friendships and experience competition in a supportive and fun environment. Girls not only learn how to play the game of golf but they discover life lessons that will help them face their future as confident and empowered individuals.
